Combustion Formula

Combustion means the reaction of oxygen with an compound containing carbon and hydrogen. A common synonym for combustion is burn.

A combustion with insufficient oxygen yields carbon monoxide rather than carbon dioxide. Combustion in a fire produces a flame, and the heat produced can make combustion self-sufficing.
