Moles = $\frac{Mass}{Atomic\ weight}$

Moles = $\frac{56}{18.015}$ = 3.10 mol

 

Question 2: Convert 30g of oxygen into corresponding moles?

Solution:
 
Given mass of oxygen is 30g.
Atomic weight of oxygen = 16g/mol
Grams to moles conversion equation is,

Moles = $\frac{Mass}{Atomic\ weight}$

Moles = $\frac{30}{16}$ = 1.875 mol
