# Limit Formula

Limit is the value of the function where the input value of the function approaches a particular point. Limit Formula calculates the limit of the function. The limit of a function is calculated by plugging the point value of the variable in the function. If the limit value is of $\frac{0}{0}$ form, then the function does not exist. So, we have to look for another function which produces similar limit value as the original function at all points except for the point where the limit turns $\frac{0}{0}$.

## Limit Problems

Some solved problems on limit are given below:

### Solved Examples

Question 1: Calculate $\lim_{x \rightarrow 2}$ 2x2 + 4x + 5 ?
Solution:

$\lim_{x \rightarrow 2}$ 2x2 + 4x + 5
= 2(2)2 + 4(2) + 5
= 2(4) + 8 + 5
= 8 + 8 + 5
= 21

Question 2: Calculate $\lim_{x \rightarrow 4}$ $\frac{2x + 1}{3}$ ?
Solution:

$\lim_{x \rightarrow 4}$ $\frac{2x + 1}{3}$

= $\frac{2(4) + 1}{3}$

= $\frac{8 + 1}{3}$

= $\frac{9}{3}$

= 3
