# Celsius Formula

Celsius scale is most preferably used  temperature scale as it has a melting point at 0o C and boiling point at 100o C. But we often get temperature in Fahrenheit or Kelvin where the calculations will become a bit complicated. So you can make calculations easier by converting any given temperature scales into Celsius scale using the below  Celsius formulas.

There are basically four conversions in Celsius
1. Celsius to Fahrenheit Conversion
2. Fahrenheit to Celsius Conversion
3. Celsius to Kelvin
4. Kelvin to Celsius.

Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion is given as
Where C - Celsius and F - Fahrenheit.

We can get Fahrenheit to Celsius formula by taking all the terms other than Celsius on other side.

Celsius to Kelvin conversion is given as
Where C - Celsius and K - Kelvin.

We can get Kelvin to Celsius formula by taking all the terms other than Celsius on other side.

Celsius formula is used to converting Celsius in Fahrenheit or Kelvin and vice versa.

## Celsius Conversion Problems

Problems based on Celsius are given below.

### Solved Examples

Question 1: A doctor notes the body temperature as 95o C. What will be his temperature in Fahrenheit.
Solution:

We can convert Celsius to Fahrenheit using formula
F = C $\times$ $\frac{9}{5}$ + 32
95o C = 95 $\times$ $\frac{9}{5}$ + 32
= 203 F.

Question 2: Convert the following Celsius in Kelvin
(a) 20o C
(b) 35o C
(c) 0o C
Solution:

We can convert Celsius to Kelvin using formula K = C + 273
(a) 20o C = 20 + 273 = 293 K
(b) 35o C = 35 + 273 = 308 K
(c) 0o C = 0 + 273 = 273 K.
